Madhu Kapoor
Madhu Kapoor graduated in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering at Bangalore in the year 1971 and trained extensively in Japan and Germany.
After a brief career in the Steel Industry, he got involved in the Apparel Industry, which subsequently became his lifetime objective, completing 55 years of devoted service to the industry.
Pursuing his objective, he established Apparel & Leather Technics, popularly known as ALT, an MSME unit representing top machine manufacturing companies worldwide for the Apparel, Knitwear, and Leather & Heavy Goods industry, with its Head Office in Bangalore and branches nationwide to support its customers.
ALT represents top manufacturers in the world like Panasonic for Wireless Bus Bar & Electrical Systems from Japan, PAD CAD Systems from Canada, Eastman Cutting Equipment from the USA, Hashima Fusing Machines and Needle Detectors from Japan, Kansai Special Chain Stitch Machines from Japan, Brother Lockstitch Machines from Japan, BÖWE Dry Cleaning and Laundry Systems from Germany, and Schoenenberger Automatic Storage Systems from Germany, in addition to its famous Swantex brand for the Apparel, Knitwear, and Leather & Heavy Goods industry.
Today, ALT undertakes turnkey projects for the Apparel, Knitwear, Leather, and Heavy Goods industries and delivers projects within 180 working days, including design and execution of prefab buildings, completion of electrical, pneumatic, and steam systems, wireless bus bar systems, production furniture, state-of-the-art equipment, recruitment, workforce training, and production setup.
Madhu Kapoor is the recipient of many national and international awards for his contribution to the Apparel Industry.

This will afford them an opportunity to acquire technical skill irrespective of their educational and financial background so that they are able to compete both in the Domestic and International industry and enable them to participate anywhere in the world.
Our target is that within 5 years we should be able to reach the training target of 10,000 per year at our centre.
2 a) To support the MSME Sector who cannot afford to have their own complete facilities of garment manufacture, in a manner by which they can seek support from ALT Centre of Excellence and will be able to compete with the leading manufacturer of the country which will generate additional employment for at least 100,000 per year within a period of 5 years.
Step by step they will acquire both knowledge and equipment and in the future they will become independent in both domestic and international markets.
2 b) To lend support to small fashion institutes and also to ITI’s, women welfare centres, tailoring centres etc so that in combination with ALT Centre of Excellence, can impart same level of training which will generate trained workforce similar to ALT Centre of Excellence and augment the great demand for skilled workforce.
3) The ALT Training College Foundation will prepare at least 1000 new entrepreneurs especially from the next generation per year within a period of 5 years to run efficiently Apparel, Knitwear, Leather, and heavy goods industry. This will generate additional trained workforce of 100,000 for employment in the new factory per year within a period of 5 years.
4) To introduce both digitization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to prepare candidates for the future of the industry.
Renu Kapoor
Renu Kapoor, a Science Graduate from Chennai University in the year 1974.
Due to her outstanding performance, she was selected by the State Bank of Patiala and served for a period of 5 years.
Thereafter, she joined Apparel & Leather Technics as its Finance Head, a position she continues to hold till date.
In her present role as Finance Head at ALT, she is exposed not only to handling the day-to-day finances of its Head Office and branches, but also to the most important aspect of foreign exchange management.
She has rendered invaluable service to the apparel, leather, and leather & heavy goods industries in the field of financial discipline.
ALT is extremely indebted to her for securing a Plus Rating from the State Bank of India and for making ALT a role model in the MSME sector.
Aarti Paruthi
Aarti Paruthi is a post graduate from Manipal University, specializing her MBA in Human Resources and Finance. She has also completed her M.Sc. in Fashion Technology.
Being a topper in Apparel Engineering studies, she received a scholarship from the French company ‘Lectra’ to specialize in CAD, after which she continued her internship to gain shop floor work experience at a company called ‘Lerose’ in Birmingham, UK.
She joined Apparel & Leather Technics in the year 1998. Initially, her career took off as a merchandiser at the state-of-the-art manufacturing unit of ALT, producing men’s dress shirts. Thereafter, she was appointed as a Partner for the firm and holds that position till date.
She is now dedicated to enhancing quality, performance, and delivery in the Apparel, Knitwear, Leather & Heavy Goods industry by using the ALT AI-enabled platform.
